# How do I reinstall the OS?
You can reinstall your server's OS at any time with just a few clicks from your client panel. This is useful if you want to start fresh or switch from Linux to Windows (or vice-versa).
Warning: Reinstalling the OS will permanently erase all data on your server. Please back up any important files before proceeding.
- Log in to your client panel and navigate to the Servers tab, then click on the VPS/RDP you wish to manage.
- Find the Reinstall Server button on the right side of the page. Make sure to have the server powered off first.
- You will see a list of available operating systems. Select the one you want to install.
- You will be asked to confirm the action and acknowledge that all data will be lost.
- Once confirmed, the reinstallation process will begin automatically. It typically takes a few minutes. A new password will be generated and displayed in the control panel.
