How does the automated backup schedule work?

Once you've activated a plan, you don't need to do anything to ensure your backups are created.

• Scheduling: Based on the plan you chose (e.g., "Every 3 Days"), our system automatically schedules the next backup run time. The system aims to run backups during off-peak hours to minimize any potential performance impact.
• Execution: At the scheduled time, our system connects to your server's node and initiates a snapshot backup. This process is highly efficient and typically has a negligible impact on your server's performance.
• Retention: The system also manages retention automatically. For example, if your plan includes "Keep 7" backups, the system will automatically delete the oldest backup once an eighth backup is successfully created, ensuring you always have the 7 most recent restore points.

You can view the status of the last backup and the scheduled time for the next one from the "Backups" tab in your panel.
